Abstract
The
Data Science Collaboratory at Colgate University is a data analysis and collaboration network focused exclusively on smaller colleges and universities in New York State. Leveraging expertise across the
New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium (NY6), the collaboratory consists of a cohort of statisticians and data librarians from regional colleges and universities, and from within the community.
We are currently looking for two students to help build a suite of RShiny applications for our application page, which we plan to launch next fall. Students will start by reviewing the current set of applications and making any needed improvements, which will involve some research of about the technology and how to implement advanced statistical procedures. These applications will be tested throughout the summer on collaborative projects with students/faculty in other departments on campus. This project will provide students the opportunity to gain experience with the full software development lifecycle, and to meet the challenges of multidisciplinary research projects through collaboration.
