Abstract

Do you have an interest in data, literacy, and student learning?
Do you want to give back to our local communities?

The DCMO-BOCES School Library System is launching a Grade-Level Reading Campaign, which organizes efforts between schools, local non-profits, government agencies, and community partners from Delware, Chenango, Madison, and Otsego counties in order to ensure that more children in low-income families have the tools to succeed in school.  The Campaign focuses on an important predictor of school success and high school graduation—grade-level reading.  This summer, you can help local students by creating, gathering, and analyzing data in regards to kindergartner reading readiness.

If you'd like to learn or strengthen skills in research, data analysis and visualizations, public policy, and pedagogy, please apply!
